GC-SH7 is a woven fiberglass, pressure sensitive tape designed for use in strategic masking off of areas for thermal spray/plasma spray operations. Can withstand exposure to temperatures up to and in excess of 500 degrees F. The high tensile strength and dimensional stability of the glass cloth backing are combined with a high quality silicone adhesive to produce a tape that is conformable, chemical and solvent resistant, and printable. Other applications: used for coil wrap, crossover insulation, and coil banding; used for insulation of electrical apparatus in military equipment; and used for sealing and bundling of non-electrical applications where flame retardency or high heat resistance is required. Can be qualified to meet MIL-19166C, Type 7.
